In the heart of Ipswich, MA, two friends embarked on a journey that would redefine auto body repair and detailing in the region. Lucas and Michael, bonded by over a decade of friendship, combined their unique skills to create a legacy… this is the story of how Boston Express Collision was born.

Michael’s passion for auto body work began in high school. He quickly found his calling at a Peabody body shop, where he worked for 5 years. He started small and  from hands-on tasks, he steadily climbed the ranks, eventually taking on the role of manager. This position was more than just overseeing repairs; it was about understanding the business, building genuine relationships with customers, and ensuring every car left the shop in pristine condition.

Lucas, who was currently working at FedEx and had a background in running a successful restaurant, had a sharp eye for business prospects. When Michael called him and told him of an available space adjacent to his Ipswich body shop and suggested they start an auto detailing business, Lucas instantly recognized the opportunity. Michael had a clear vision of creating a premier detailing service, and he was confident that partnering with Lucas would make it a reality. Pooling their resources and expertise, the duo established Boston Express Detailing, drawing clientele both from the adjacent body shop and their own growing customer base.

But fate had bigger plans for them. The body shop soon went up for sale, and the duo, recognizing the opportunity, decided to expand their horizons. Combining Lucas’s business insights with Michael’s deep knowledge of auto repair, they acquired the shop.
